As the first seasonal rains of 2025 approach, AgroFresh Uganda (@agrofreshug)—a dynamic social enterprise—in partnership with Gro Uganda (@GroUganda)—a dedicated social impact initiative—is proud to announce a significant milestone: the distribution and planting of over 25,000 seedlings across various regions of Uganda.

This effort includes high-value crops such as:

  • Apples 🍎
  • Hass Avocados 🥑
  • Macadamia
  • Cashew
  • Coffee

Why This Matters

Agriculture is the backbone of Uganda’s economy, yet many farmers struggle with low yields, poor market access, and non-standardized practices. By introducing high-value, drought-resistant, and market-driven crops, we are:
Strengthening agricultural value chains to boost farmer incomes.
Promoting climate-smart farming to ensure sustainability.
Working towards accreditation and standardization of Ugandan products for global markets.

Our Vision: Zero Poverty & Zero Hunger

The ultimate goal is clear: to eradicate poverty and hunger by empowering farmers with the right tools, knowledge, and market linkages. When smallholder farmers thrive, entire communities benefit—leading to better nutrition, education, and economic stability.
